Labor is upgrading the Kangaroo Flat library with three brand new meeting and study pods.

Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards today visited the library to unveil the new pods.

“Whether it’s a telehealth appointment, an online meeting or a quiet place to focus, these new meeting pods will give Kangaroo Flat locals more free ways to use and benefit from our local libraries.” Said Ms Edwards

“Libraries make life easier and these new meeting pods will give locals more access to the free spaces they need close to home.”

Libraries give Victorians free access to the tools and spaces they need to study, work, learn and stay connected.

The new pods offer private, accessible spaces for meetings, telehealth appointments and online services.

The upgrades have been delivered as part of Labor’s Living Libraries Infrastructure Program.

The program supports refurbishments of all sizes from expanded children’s areas to technology hubs.

The Government has already delivered 176 library infrastructure projects — building new libraries and upgrading existing ones.

Applications for the new round are now open and close on 17 July 2026. For more information and to apply, visit localgovernment.vic.gov.au.
