Chewton Primary School students will benefit from an upgraded, outdoor inclusive learning space
in 2027, thanks to the Allan Labor Government.
Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards today visited the school to announce a $280,311 grant to
install new playground equipment, funded through the Capital Works Fund (CWF).
“We’re delivering new playground equipment at Chewton Primary School so local students of all
abilities to learn from play.” Said Maree Edwards
“Our record investment in school infrastructure is delivering for regional communities, ensuring
that we continue to be recognised as the nation’s Education State.
“Thank you to the Chewton Primary School community for their advocacy for this project.”
The new playground at Chewton Primary School will give students of all abilities more opportunities
to socialise, develop, and learn through play.
Chewton Primary School will share in the Labor Government’s $25 million investment through the
CWF.
Since 2020, over 600 schools have gained grants so far from the $216 million invested in the CWF.
Chewton Primary School was one of 43 schools to receive funding through the most recent round.
Labor has invested $18.5 billion to build a record 121 new schools and deliver over 2,300 school
upgrades.
